Federal Estate, Gift and Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax Exemptions

The “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (the “OBBB”) was signed into law by President Trump on July 4, 2025. Under the OBBB, beginning on January 1, 2026, the federal estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax exemptions will increase from $13,990,000 to a permanent $15,000,000 ($30,000,000 for married couples).
